Duties & Responsibilities/Principal Activities:
- Coordinates training, technical assistance, consultation, and coaching services to benefit educators, professionals, and family members associated with childcare, Head Start, pre-K, and others supporting children birth to eight years
- Collaborates with Program Director to implement continual quality improvement efforts for all services and processes
- Assists with coordination and support of community events, program presentations, and recruitment efforts

Duties & Responsibilities/Principal Activities:
- Completes Strengths-Based Assessments (CANS, ACES, CGSQ at intake and discharge,) Interpretive Summary, and Individual Service Plan in collaboration with the youth, family, and Family Support Specialist (FSS) to identify strengths and needs.
- Works as a team with the Family Support Specialist to ensure coordinated service delivery and at least weekly face-to-face contact with family/youth.
- Attends court/CFTMs and communicates with Youth Service Officers regarding youth/families’ participation in services and progress in completing goals established to address issues contributing to court involvement/delinquent charges.
- Assist FSS in identifying community resources and helping family engage with resources that will sustain family’s progress beyond discharge from JJR program.

A minimum of a high school diploma with 1 year of qualifying experience working with individuals with mental illness or developmental disabilities or certification as a Medical Assistant or CNA/CNT. - Provide support and assistance to residents in a variety of areas and skills (domestic, personal hygiene, work, social and recreational skills and self-help skills.
- Responsible for prompting and assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s). This may include bathing, grooming and toileting assistance as well as cleaning, chores, and other daily activities of independent living.

The Residential Specialist is expected to perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the mission and core values of TNV and comply with all TNV policies and procedures, OSHA, CMS, HIPPA, local, state, and federal, regulations. Bending and lifting to assist clients with ADL’s may also be a regular duty.

Duties & Responsibilities/Principal Activities:
- Provide support and assistance to residents in a variety of areas and skills (domestic, personal hygiene, work, social and recreational skills and self-help skills.
- Responsible for prompting and assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s). This may include bathing, grooming and toileting assistance as well as cleaning, chores, and other daily activities of independent living.
- Observe and report changes to residents’ health and behaviors.
- Actively participate in resident’s activities including outings and groups.
- Complete required ECR documentation within established timeframes; Incident reports, Shift Notes, etc.
- Provide client Medication Assistance as noted within the Medication Assistance Record (MAR) and document appropriately in the MAR. Any medication questions or concerns should be addressed immediately with the Program Manager and/or Program Director.
- Report all maintenance related issues to the House Manager and Program Director.
- Support and enable good relations with residents by communicating respectfully at all times.
- Responsibilities for upkeep and operations of the home, including but not limited to: meal preparation and cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc.
- Ensure that the home is clean and tidy at all times in accordance with standards established by the House Manager and Program Director.
- Maintain high standards of personal accountability by being a role model for residents in dress and behavior at all times.
- Respond to crisis needs of residents in a prompt, effective and collaborative manner.
- Timely reporting to beginning of each assigned shift.
- Participate in a shift summary/transition meeting at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Collaborate with management and treatment professionals on implementing interventions and strategies to address the client behaviors.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in counseling/therapy or closely related field is required. Preference given to parents/caregivers or family members of children with SED. Non-profit organization experience and work history within child serving systems preferred. Experience working with children/youth and families with significant behavioral health needs. Ability to provide a strength-based, client-centered approach to service delivery.

- Provide face-to-face direct service hours to families inclusive of individual and/or family therapy, assistance with the development of positive parenting, safety planning, basic life skills and parenting a child/youth with special needs.
- Ensure that counseling/therapy is delivered in a manner consistent with HFW plans and coordinated activities.
- Complete clinical assessment(s), as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities/Principal Activities:
- Partner with teachers/administration to seamlessly integrate trauma informed practices/mental health awareness into existing education systems.
- Provide training to teachers staff and parents about Building Strong Brains/ACES, Trauma and Co-Occurring Disorders and Understanding the link between Adolescent Trauma and Substance abuse
- Identify students/parents and teachers/staff currently experiencing or at-risk of experiencing trauma related stress symptoms.
- Completes Strengths-Based Assessments (CANS, ACES, CBITS).
- Provide group, family and individual counseling intervention for students/families.
- Facilitate regular/recurring trauma screenings, trauma informed mental health assessments and group/individual interventions (TF-CBT).
- Facilitate parent and teacher/staff trainings such as Promoting Healthy and Successful Students, Youth Mental Health and First aid and Nurturing Parenting.
- Facilitate Child Trauma Toolkit training for teachers/staff and ensure pre/post tests are completed.
- Present/teach MindUp curriculum in order to help students improve coping skills and decrease anxiety.
- Assist teachers/administrative staff in creating and implementing trauma-informed practices.
- Facilitate satisfaction survey completion process in order to review progress and measure outcomes of improving early identification and intervention of trauma related stress symptoms in students and teachers.

Duties & Responsibilities/Principal Activities:
- Completes Strengths-Based Assessments (CANS, ACES, CGSQ or additional assessments at intake and discharge,) and Individual Treatment Plan in collaboration with the youth, family, and Family Support Specialist (FSS) to identify strengths and needs.
- Works as a team with the Family Support Specialist to ensure coordinated service delivery and at least weekly face-to-face contact with family/youth.
- Provide individual, family and group therapy as identified and clinically determined.
- Provide training to Detention Staff as needed to provide mental health support to those children/youth within the facility.
- Attends court/CFTMs and communicates with Youth Service Officers regarding youth/families’ participation in services and progress in completing goals established to address issues contributing to court involvement/delinquent charges.
- Assist FSS in identifying community resources and helping family engage with resources that will sustain family’s progress beyond discharge from JJR program.
- Available during work hours for crisis support and assist in creating a crisis plan for 24/7 support.
- Availability to work outside of the general operating hours to meet the needs of the family/youth.
- Documents progress, safety plan, treatment plan, etc. and enter into the EHR.
- Complete transition plan/discharge summary.
- Ensure client information is secured consistent with HIPAA requirements.
- Participate in job related trainings as assigned.
