Nurturing Parenting

About This Program

The Nurturing Parenting is a free, family-centered training designed to provide families with the information and skills they need to effectively care for and nurture their children, develop supports, and create a healthy environment in which their children will thrive. Nurturing Parenting builds protective factors in families that, when present, increase the health and wellbeing of children and families.

Nurturing Parenting classes are 7 to 12 sessions in length and offered through interactive virtual and in-person groups for parents and caregivers. Classes include activities on positive parenting skills, communication, and healthy physical and emotional development. They are designed to build self-awareness, positive self-esteem, and empathy; teach positive discipline; enhance family communication; and teach role and developmental expectations.
